Having completed specialist training in deshedding techniques for double-coated breeds, Anna believes healthy coat care starts with understanding each dog's coat type, lifestyle and individual needs. Our calm, patient approach allows every grooming session to be carried out at your pet's own pace, helping even nervous pets feel relaxed and comfortable.

Regular grooming is about much more than appearance. It helps maintain healthy skin and coats, reduces shedding, prevents painful matting and allows early changes to be noticed before they become bigger problems.
Specialist Deshedding
Deshedding is one of our specialist services and requires the correct techniques, professional tools and plenty of patience. Rather than simply brushing away loose hair, we carefully remove the dead undercoat while protecting the healthy outer coat. This encourages healthy coat growth, improves air circulation and significantly reduces shedding at home.
Where a cat's temperament allows, we also offer gentle deshedding for feline guests. Every cat is assessed individually, and their comfort and welfare always come first.
Double-Coated Breeds
As a general rule, we do not shave double-coated breeds—including Huskies, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Pomeranians, Spitzes and similar breeds—unless there is a genuine medical reason advised by a veterinarian.
A double coat acts as natural insulation, helping regulate body temperature throughout the year while protecting the skin from the sun. Shaving or creating fashionable "teddy bear" trims may permanently alter the coat's texture, affect its natural protective function and, in some cases, prevent it from growing back correctly.
Instead, we recommend professional deshedding and regular coat maintenance to keep these breeds healthy, comfortable and looking their best.
